South Tyrol Wine Consortium

Outstanding wines from a small wine region. A wide variety of excellent white wines such as Gewürztraminer and Pinot Blanc, as well as elegant, sophisticated red wines such as Vernatsch, Pinot Noir and Lagrein: many wines have made South Tyrol one of the most popular wine-producing regions in Italy.

The Consorzio Vini Alto Adige, founded in 2007, comprises 155 wineries and aims to promote this rich and varied heritage. Twenty different varieties of vine are cultivated in an area of just 5,400 hectares. Wine is an integral part of the local culture and land: over the years it has helped to shape it and today it is an important attraction for tourists from all over the world.

In 2014, the Consortium tasked fruitecom with communicating the oenological heritage of this fascinating wine-producing area. How? Through its continuous relationship with the media and by organizing special events and initiatives for the press, industry professionals and wine lovers.

ALTO ADIGE WINE SUMMIT

In 2017, the Consortium launched the first edition of the Alto Adige Wine Summit: an exclusive event created with the aim of focusing the spotlight on South Tyrolean wine production. In the run-up to the summit, fruitecom had the pleasure of dealing with invitations to the national press: over 28 Italian journalists took part in the event, which was the subject of almost one hundred articles in Italy alone.
